Entries: Submitting
a paid (Girls or Boys) Frosh-Soph team entry fee at
any specific meet allows that school an unlimited number of entries in the
(Girls or Boys) FS race at that meet and for an additional $5 - an unlimited
number of entries in the (Girls or Boys) JV race at that meet. If no FS team entry is made, then the JV team
entry is $10. E.g., paying $15 for a
Girls FS team at Race 1 allows a school to enter an unlimited number of girls
in the FS Girls race at Race 1. For an
additional $5, that school may enter an unlimited number of athletes in the JV
race. If no Girls FS team entry is made,
then the Girls JV team cost is $10. The
same would apply to boys team entries at Race 1. Checks
may be made out to either “
Entry submissions:
Please submit a hytek meet entry file or
the attached entry paperwork and identify each race you wish to enter. Submit Hytek files
to bmhaworth@louisville.edu or
paperwork via fax (502-459-8272, Attn: Barry Haworth). Mailed entries should be submitted to: Barry Haworth, Re: DCAC Lightning Classic,
· Hytek meet entry files for each race are posted at www.ahsdistance.org and www.derbycityac.com.
Meet
info:
all competitors will receive a competitor number, which must be placed
on the back of their right hand.
Whenever possible, competitor numbers will be distributed (along with
course maps) in advance. Competitor
numbers will also remain the same throughout the series, for teams and runners
who compete in more than one race.
Competition info: in all races, the top 5 finishers for each team will
score, and athletes must all compete for their school.

Frosh-Soph races are open to athletes in grade 9 or grade 10
·
JV races are
open to athletes in any grade level.
Course Maps: as soon as they’re
available, we hope to post course maps at the Derby City Athletic Club website
(http://www.derbycityac.com) and at
the Assumption’s Cross Country team website (http://crosscountry.ahsdistance.org).
Results: we will
distribute Hytek-generated results to the Kentucky
Cross Country and Track Coaches email distribution list, and will submit
results to the following websites: www.ahsdistance.org, www.derbycityac.com,
www.kytrackxc.com, and www.ktccca.org.
Parking:
River Road Country Club/Champions Park: there is
limited parking available within the grounds.
Parking is located at the Water Tower as well. Please do not park in the lots
belonging to neighboring businesses. Our
continued use of locations such as River Rd CC/Champions Park depends upon everyone’s
cooperation when it comes to parking.
Please remember that parking violators are subject to ticketing and
towing.
