These shirts are given each year to the girls in our distance program in exchange for a successful completion of the Spring track season. There's an attempt made each year to produce something that's at least a little bit different from previous seasons. Our first shirt was going to be given after the 2000 season, but we opted instead to give that year's shirt to the whole team. In 2001, the first true Assumption Distance shirt was given out. The saying on that shirt (in cursu veritas) is latin for "in running there is truth".
